La Vegià (Vin rouge)

La Vegià is a project born in 2017 when we took over the azienda, the choice was to harvest the oldest part of the Barbera (40 years old) and make it a “grand cru”.
There was no doubt on our choice of ageing our wines in Piedmontese casks, the same ones which made the reputation of the Barolo wines.
After vinification, the wine is transferred to our ageing cell and will remain in the Botte Grande for 36 months; it will then be bottled and kept for one more year before being available on the market.

Total sulphite count at bottling: between 20 and 30mg per liter.
